I removed the shower screen and the piston, and everything looks in good shape, just needs a little descale and cleaning.
Removed the old group gasket and the piston shaft seal. Replaced them with new gaskets and seals.
After a descale and cleaning, the parts of the group head look amazing. these machines were made with love and care and it really shows. All parts are of very high quality. Also notice that the piston is the new style with the four holes on the perimeter. These holes were designed to pressurize the gaskets so that they form a better seal on the group head wall.
Here is a shot of the group head with the new gaskets and seals. the piston shaft is completely smooth without any scratches or blemishes.
